She’s also been advocating for surgery to help manage her lymphedema, which she had about a year ago (after 64 insurance appeals). She shares the emotional and physical aspects of the process and recovery.

After several misdiagnoses, Tanya Flink learned she had lymphedema. She found a great lymphedema therapist and the right compression to help manage her swelling and stay active. An avid runner, Tanya completes a marathon each month! While she runs for a number of reasons, one is to not let her chronic condition limit what she can do.
